Any Flight Attendants out there?
so i went to The Airline Academy in Daytona Beach b/c I definitely know I want a career with an airline in the future after college and whatnot. But after i finished the program, i found it really wasn't that helpful in the job department(although the skills and training were very informative). Just wondering, if ur a FA(esp. between the ages of 18-21) how did you land your first job with an airline and how did you go about it?

- to attend a flight attendant class would be a disaster as most of that school just running a business, they make money! if you really want to be a flight attendant, what you should do is to apply.. not to attend flight attendant school.. once they (airlines) accept you (if you pass all the interview), they will provide you training before granted you as their flight attendant.. you should know, thet every airlines have their own academy/school specially to train people to be flight attendant.. no need to attend money-making-flight-attendant-school..
- What red devil said - any so called F/A training schools that claim to give you an advantage in applying with any airline is a total scam. The skills and training you also learned are also going to be pretty much worthless. Any and all training you require will be thru each individual airline's FAA certified training course that will not cost you a thing. It is also non-transferable between carriers. Only way to land a job with an airline is to apply thru their websites. Unfortunately, no mainline carrier has been hiring and won't be for any time soon. You might luck out with a regional as I have been hearing rumors that they have been interviewing.
