Flight Attendant Information

What do you need to do, to become a flight attendant for Qantas, Virgin blue and Jetstar?

I am thinking of trying out my luck for Flight attendant position and i was just wondering what are the necessary stages do you need to take to make it through to the interview rounds etc etc, please if anyone could provide me with tips on how to become a flight attendant in australia as i am living in sydney??
