Flight Attendant Interview?
I was offered an interview with Republic Airways next week and I'm really not sure what to expect. I've been to a flight attendant training academy, have an impressive resume, and I can dress the part. However, I did not receive a job offer at my last interview. Any tips??

- A follow up letter can refresh the interviewers mind back to you. Say something like " Thank you for your time and careful consideration and i eagerly await the opportunity to serve as a vital member of your team.
- Hi, Good news! Dress conservatively and modestly.. Remember that they are assessing you on part to your "presence" and that includes how you will look and fit in their uniform.. Of course, less is more-- so no perfume, single earrings, one ring or none.. no fashion statements please... As far as what will be asked, always keep in your mind that they are assessing you on FOUR basic factors.. 1) Can you comply with safety and security at all times? 2) Can you handle difficult, awkward or stressful situations? 3) Can you work with people of different backgrounds, beliefs and demographics than yourself? and 4) Can you follow instructions? Can you comply with safety and security at all times? An example of this is when you arrive you'll likely be given a security pass or visitors ID to wear while on their property. Do you comply with wearing it properly? or is it partially hidden by your jacket? Do you use the handrails if you go down stairs? Little things like that. they are watching to see if you practice safety and follow security rules.. Can you handle difficult, awkward or stressful situations? They may keep you waiting to see what you do. Do you start to figit? Or are you relaxed and calm? What about if two people are arguing and you're in the middle, how do you handle that? You may be interviewed by multiple people-- who are designed to have "less than pleasant" personalities when meeting with you.. How do you react? Can you work with people of different backgrounds, beliefs and demographics than yourself? You may be asked to explain how you've worked with other who are much older or even younger than you. Be aware that they are also looking at how you handle male-vs-female workplace differences. Can you follow instructions? This is a big one and will be watched carefully.. If your interview includes a written part, READ IT carefully. If it says to answer any 3 of the 4 questions and you answer all 4 to give them a better view of you, all you did was tell them that you can't read and follow instructions.. A lot of a cabin crews job is following VERY specific rules-- no interpretation or guessing-- so be sure that you follow- to a "T"- all the instructions you are given. If you're not clear ASK first.. Good luck!
