Flight Attendant Information

What are the requirements to become a flight attendant?

Whatt are the requirements to become a flight attendant? I know that you have to go to school and take some classes for it but what else besides that do you need? Also do you have to be a U.S Citizen? I'm not a U.S CItizen but I am legally in this country and I also have an Employer Authorization Card.

  1. you can find more info below.
  2. You don't have to go to school, apply at the HR office of the airline or airlines you want to work at and they will provide the training when they hire you. U.S. Citizenship is not required, and being bilingual will help, but being able to speak and understand English is a must. You seem to write it just fine, and they will judge your speaking and comprehension skills to see if you qualify.
  3. As far as traveling you need to able to leave and return to the US without having to ask for a travel permission from Immigration. If you have a green card that will do. But just the employment authorization you CANNOT! Because you are not allowed to leave and return without filling for a permission. Airlines will have you flying on reserve and you need to able to leave at a last minute notice. Also, no criminal history as you will be fingerprinted by FBI. Whatever airline you are thinking about applying will have all the other requirements listed on their employment section for that specific airline. That's the best way to find out, as all airlines have their own requirents. But, you will need a green card or US passport. Without one of these two forget about it!
