Flight Attendant Information

How can I become an airline flight attendant other than applying direct to airlines?

I want to become a flight attendant. How do I find a career in that field? Where do I start? Every time I go on the direct airlines website for a job there is no updated information

  1. Unfortunately that is the only way to get into the field. No airline is hiring flight attendants right now, at least big ones. I would search the smaller airlines such as skywest, ASA, Chataqua, Cogan and other regional carriers such as that. They have such a high turnover that they are frequently hiring flight attendants. However the pay is not that great, but it's good experience. The major airlines will start to hire eventually when the economy picks up and the public starts to fly more. Right now everyone is cutting back due to uncertainty. Just keep checking those websites. One day you'll see an opening for a flight attendant. Just an FYI though: flight attendant is the most highly applied for job in the airline industry. You don't need any real qualifications other than great customer service experience prior and lot of luck. When they do post an opening, they will get hundreds of applications. Sorting through all of those resumes will be a pain, and only a handful will get calls for group interviews. The best way is to know someone in the airline. That way they can give you a "word of recommendation" when you submit your application and that usually gives you a good chance for at least an interview. Again, just keep checking every week to all the airlines you are looking into. They post them, and they usually leave the posting up for a week or so.
