Flight Attendant Information

How Do You Become A Flight Attendant/Air Hostess/Stewardess...?

or whatever you call it? i've always been interested in becoming a flight attendant, because i love traveling and meeting different people, but i don't really know what would be required to become one. i've heard that some airlines require you to have at least a bachelor's degree in communications or psychology, or just a degree period, and some require no degree at all. does it just depend on the airline? and could i become one with a degree in English (my major)?
