I have serious pimples and scar on chest and back.Would the airlines reject me to become a flight attendant?

I have serious pimples scars on my chest and back since i was 12 years old and now i m 21 years old,i m still can't get rid of it. Because of that,i m lack of confidence to wear sleeveless shirt or dress. The most important thing is i don't dare go for a flight attendant interview. To become a flight attendant is my dream.Anyone can help solve my problems? Is it all airlines' flight attendant must have clear skin?

  1. No, that would be discrimination. Follow your dreams.
  2. Technically, not hiring someone for their visual appearance is discrimination. However, people are people and will make judgments. I would advise wearing a nice dress shirt to the interview, so that they can't see anything - this way they will pass no judgment. Good luck!
  3. you should hope they reject you. the job stinks and the pay is worse.
  4. how would they see your chest and back? i have never heard of a complexion requirement for a job
  5. I don't think it would be a problem because your flight attendant outfit should cover any blemishes. Go ahead and apply. Don't worry about it. Your personality is more important.
  6. follow your dreams- if they reject you for that then you don't want to work in that kind of environment anyway. Be proud of who you are and how you look!
  7. It depends on the airline and the country. Some place more emphasis on physical attractiveness than others. In a uniform your chest and back probably would be covered, anyway, so that isn't a problem. Your scars probably are much more noticeable to you than they are to other people. Remember, a flight attendant is a safety technician, not a waitress or beauty queen. Your job is to keep passengers safe, and if you can do that job well, many airlines will be happy to have you as a flight attendant. It's a job with considerable responsibility, because when the going gets tough (in an accident or emergency, for example), it's up to you to save people.
