Can someone based in America become a pilot for let's say Qantas? Or Singapore Airlines? If so, how would they apply? Would they have to be in that airline their entire flying career to be able to fly a wide body such as a 747 or a380 for them? Also, what language would you have to speak if you worked for Singapore Airlines, or a foreign airline? Thanks!

How to get a job in a airline(good/bad to build flying hours) after pilot training? Hello, I'm 17 and want to be a pilot. I yet have to undergo a training but seeing the current situation, it makes me think again.I have always dreamt of being a pilot in grade 1 and now i'm in grade 12. Well my intention is to strong that i have not thought anything but to be a pilot. Well, i am doing Bachelor's of Aviation and in the second year, i will fly. But the thing is, after i get my license,.....get it i converted to Indian one(Oh yes i'm from India),....having only 300 hours, how and where should i apply for a job, meaning i'm not going to fly until 2011, but we have already started saving for my training.So as a fresher, what hotspots i should see...meaning what companies kind of should i see to build up my flying hours.....i dream of flying with emirates or Singapore Airlines...well that's every pilot's dream, so is mine..... Please please tell me how can i build up flying hours as much as possible in the first few years of my career.I know the pay will suck but it doesn't matter to me....but please tell me where should i apply after my pilot training so that i can successfully make good hours.... hello pilots....i have a query here....? Well i'm 16 and i live in India. I'm doing my 11th in science. I want to pursue my career as a pilot.I know the basic qualifications are 12th science. But to get a good package, you need to be a graduate.Can i switch from 12th science to Bach in Mass Media.Coz its easy and meets the criteria. Also after doing my class 2 medical(and Bachelors), how do i go about the pilot traing to get a CPL in USA(me trying for California but any one is ok..). I want to join Singapore airlines or Emirates to get type rated for Airbus. Can anyone please help me.Your kind reply to this will be highly appreciated....!! Thanks.....!!
