How do you apply for training to become a cabin crew member for Aerlingus? I have searched & searched and i can't find any details on how to get training for Aerlingus cabin crew training.

In the event of a hijacking or emergency in the air, what do the cabin crew do? What happens in the event that a passenger aircraft is hijacked? If the plane is already hijacked, is there anything the crew can do or is it up to the F-16's at that point? If the cabin crew suspect a passenger is attempting to hijack the plane or harm the plane or passengers, what do they do? Are they required as a flight attendant to try and stop the person? I know these events are extremely rare, especially with all the new security requirements, but I would like to know if the crew are ready for a situation like this? It would make me feel better knowing that the flight attendants on my plane are trained to deal with any situation that may arise. I forgot to add, even if the crew do train for situations like that, they are people just like anyone else ... do you think they would really attempt to do anything?

WHY DO PEOPLE HAVE NO RESPECT FOR CABIN CREW ANYMORE? i've been working in the industry now for a few years.i have met some of the nicest people and some of the most ignorant people you can imagine!ive been called more names then bin laden because the flight has been delayed or because the weather at their destination isnt what they were expecting....no joking!!!it does not cost anything for maners.people seem to forget its a plane they are getting on and not a bus!! they bring as many bags as they like on board and then think its our job to find some where to fit them.the hatbins do not multiply in size, what you see is what we have! the average plane holds 180-200 people depending on what type of aircraft your on, thats lot of bags to try and fit.people then wonder why airlines have baggage restrictions....people moan and give out if there is a technical problem and the aircraft needs to be fixed,would you rather we just take off and take a chance and see if it lands ok!!! our jobs as cabin crew is for the safety of the pax and the crew onboard,some people think were there to wait on them hand and foot.if we werent there to operate the cabin you wouldnt last to long in an emergency situation.cabin crew go through extensive training, full time training on the particular aircraft they operate.they are ready to deal with many different situations that could happen.so in future dont forget the people who look after you while you travel because without them there would be no travel.i dont understand people that think its ok to use foul language at us or decide to spark up a smoke in the toilets at 37,000 feet, where you are putting everyone on board lives at risk. for those people who like to travel lowfare airlines, there are plenty out there who pay less then £10/10 euro for their flight stop moaning! you get what you pay for dont be expecting luxury!if it doesnt suit you fly with BA or singapore airlines.so just remember if your delayed so are we, try be nice because we try our best:) and i do no like in every profession there are some horrible cabin crew you might have met but were not all like that it is a question can you not read the top of the page!!!! i never once said i didnt like my job,i love my job just cant understand why people have no respect for cabin crew which was the question.obviously some people are finding the question to difficult to understand!!

I've been selected by the MAS office to be a cabin crew..? And it's based in Miri and I'm living in Kuching. Do you guys think it's worth it if i accept this job? Because they don't provide a place to stay, transport and food... Yet it's a must for me to live in Miri if i want this job.. And the salary is RM800 a month, but it's RM1000++ after the training la... And yet i don't even have any relatives or friends living there, yet my mom say by the time i pay up for all my rentals, food and etc, i don have much left money to save up for my college... I am a newbie here and believe me, this questions & anwers session has superly helped me burn the gasoline and run the engine at three-thousand!!! I wonder if anybody would share with me his/her experience and perhaps critics and suggestions... Apart from feeling curious and confused, the measure of my hope shows a critical level... HICK HICKS... I have been sending applications to various airlines companies and I keep receiving negative responses (turned down). From the impossibility to proceed with my application to not planning any recruitment days until the upcoming six months. I try to make conclusion of the answers to the why... Could it be my nationality? I am currently a permanent residence in Italy with valid work permit but my passport is still Indonesian passport). Or could it be that I have never gone through firefight, first aid, and those kinds of trainings that are usually required? I am 22-years-old, physically very presentable (163 cm - 48kg), and I am experienced in Customer Care and Service (from Assistant of Maìtre to Education Consultant). I hold a degree in Information Technology, other diplomas and certificates, I speak five languages and right now I am doing accredited courses in French and Spanish as well. I am scratching my brain thinking of what is wrong with my CV... UWWUUAAAHHHHH... At least I would want to prepare myself to be much more qualified before the next recruitment annoucement... Should I stay or should I go...=]? I've just come back from my holiday to Turkey. Me and my sister met these two guys Ben and Jerry and I thought one of them was fit straight away (Ben) but couldn't talk to him so I started talking to the other guy (Jerry) and my sister talked to Ben. Turned out me and Jerry had more in common but there was no attraction and we both preferred the other. Anyway...We went on a night out to a foam party and I was really drunk and ended up kissing Jerry (He was always off his face at night drinking this lethal drink) and Ben saw me and just walked off to my sister...In the end I went and talked to Ben and we got talking properly and he had said how he was really jealous when he saw me kissing him as he had his eye on me all week. Anyway turns out we did have a connection but it took all week to realise...now hes gone home and I've gone to my home. The problem is...he rang me last night and started going Jerry said you and Ben had had sex when I really didn't..he was always out of it...I never reached his level!! Anyway I was thinking why is he ringing me it's not like i'm going to see him again...and then he said to me on phone..come meet me come to my city at the weekend...it's only a couple of hours away and I have relatives where he lives so it isn't impossible. There's one problem...I don't know whether to go or not!!...We had a really long conversation last night and the silent parts didn't even feel awkward it was really wierd it felt like I had known him for ages! But distance is a killer..and I don't know whether me going this one time will make it difficult not to see him again and I'm scared I'm going to want more to become of us?...But the thing is I have plans about my future and i'll be starting an Air Cabin Crew training course soon at my local airport so it would prove to be even more difficult. British Airways Training Holding Pool...? I had my assessmant day at Cranebank on 2nd May '08 for cabin crew on Eurofleet (shorthaul). I found out I was successful on 7th May. They told me I would be held in what's called the 'holding pool' until a training date becomes available but my application is only valid for one year from my date of assessment (02/05/08) if I haven't received a training date before then I will have to re-apply. Can anybody tell me if I'm likely to get training before my application expires? I've been advised that they're not holding any more training until January '09. Getting a bit worried now!!! Im looking to move down to brighton, but before I start to look for somewhere to buy I want to rent for a few months until I've settled in, so where would be a good place to live for around £300-£350 a month. Im 19 and dont have a job offer from down there so I want somewhere that would be great for socializing but also that I could get a job relatively easily. What language...?? I am training to become cabin crew but it would be an advantage if I had fluency in another language. What language would be the most useful? I have basic understanding of german, french and portugese but I would consider any new language. Also what languages are easiest to learn?

Air New Zealand Certificate in Airline Customer Service? Hello everyone, Recently, i got a place offer in Air new zealanad airline customer service training school. It is not the job offer and just training the students who would like to work as cabin crews, ground crews and etc. The point is I not sure I should take it or not. I not sure this will help me to find a job in airline business. Another thing is I am not New Zealander and I am an international student. I wonder that they will hire me. And English is not my first language but I do can speak fours languages those. I akind of want to try but it is cost money. Therefore i would like to make sure I did the right decision. Pleasse help me to make decision. I will so glad to get any advise from you guys! Thanks!

Is it easy to get an airhostess job? iam ready to go to any place where they offer me this job.
