Flight Attendant / Cabin Crew Height Requirements? I am 162cm tall (without shoes) and currently applying to be a flight attendant in Australia. It is a requirement that you are between 163cm - 185cm in height to meet the Safety Standards. I know that one of the first things they do at a recruitment day is measure your height. Cabin crew delima, can anyone help? I'm actually looking forward 2 join an airline s cabin crew after my sister joined Emirates in Dubai n invited me 2 join her there. But I'm only interested in local airline in Malaysia either MAS or Air Asia. But problem is, there are no recruitment on news paper or website yet since they last advertised it last year. A lot of ppl advised me not 2 join MAS or Air Asia but i am not brave enough 2 leave this country as I'm going steady with a guy n loving him like crazy while my mom is not in a good health s well. Can someone tell me how do i find out if they are recruiting even when they do not advertise as they had done it in the last recruitment? They have not been putting it in the paper 2 anounce it ever since last year n only few ppl know bout it. Can someone tell me what is their basic salary, benefit, flying pay n others things that they offer? Did any girls encounter this ?? Recently i heard from a close girlfriend about this, she had been to SIA cabin crew recruitment interview.And she was exteremly disappointed with one male interviewer. The interviewer was very rude. During the process of interview for my friend and few girls, the male interviewer actually looked away from them, didnt even want to grade them even they speak well! Just that their looks didnt interest that male interviewer?I didnt know that SIA trained interviewers to be bias?My friend told me she wont be going for SIA interviews anymore, she'll choose other airlines like cathay pacific. Is that really serious ? So potential sg girls did you encounter such treatment during the interviews?

Virgin Blue Recruitment Day - What to wear and expect? Hi There! I've been invited to attend a Virgin Blue Recruitment day next week for Domestic Cabin Crew. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has been to one of these or may have some insight as to what I should expect on the day and also what I should wear? They didn't give me any information as to how i should dress for the interview, but I have read that many people dress similar to how a Flight Attendant looks. Is this the best way to go about it? does anyonw work in the airline agency recruitment please help? i recentlt went for an interview for cabin crew i have been shortlisted to the last 7 but i have a problem when giving my 5 years work history i was self employed in 2003 but closed my buisness in the dec i then took time out till oct 2004 when i started a new job i did not claim any benefits so for 10 months i was on no register or anything i am really worried that if i get offered the post this will go against me as for aviation security a full five year work history must be shown and for 10 month i was not on anything please help me if you can what can i do to rectify this where can i go for info thanks julie

I am a newbie here and believe me, this questions & anwers session has superly helped me burn the gasoline and run the engine at three-thousand!!! I wonder if anybody would share with me his/her experience and perhaps critics and suggestions... Apart from feeling curious and confused, the measure of my hope shows a critical level... HICK HICKS... I have been sending applications to various airlines companies and I keep receiving negative responses (turned down). From the impossibility to proceed with my application to not planning any recruitment days until the upcoming six months. I try to make conclusion of the answers to the why... Could it be my nationality? I am currently a permanent residence in Italy with valid work permit but my passport is still Indonesian passport). Or could it be that I have never gone through firefight, first aid, and those kinds of trainings that are usually required? I am 22-years-old, physically very presentable (163 cm - 48kg), and I am experienced in Customer Care and Service (from Assistant of Maìtre to Education Consultant). I hold a degree in Information Technology, other diplomas and certificates, I speak five languages and right now I am doing accredited courses in French and Spanish as well. I am scratching my brain thinking of what is wrong with my CV... UWWUUAAAHHHHH... At least I would want to prepare myself to be much more qualified before the next recruitment annoucement... I was thinking about cabin crew training, but would it only be a waste of money...? I read some articles about the training and I extracted more disadvantages compared to benefits... Qatar Airways is recruiting for Cabin Crew and has announced a new run of open days ,that is,they'll have open days in shanghai,nanjing,wuhan and xian.since the first two have been expired,at that time i was too busy preparing my exam to look for infos about recruitment. now that i've learnt that there's still chance cuz i can have an interview with qatar airways in wuhan on may 10th or in xian on may 16th,however my parents wouldn't hear of it and against it forcefully.she's also told that quite a few of flight attendants have had miscarriages, some more than once. therefore,there a connection with the job, the exposure to radiation, pressurized cabin, low oxygen levels? hardly had it been settled down,when my mom asked me to meet someone on a blind date arranged by her co-worker,since she promised that i would go,i met the boy out of showing my respect and saving my mom's pride.during meeting (i'd rather not take it as date),i smiled a lot to cover my reluctance,but a self-loved man would take it as a sign of affection?the very next morning,my mom got a message telling that his family are all fond of me,esp the boy himself likes me all the more,so your daughter better hurry to make a decision ,and let's us arrange a time for them to get engaged soon. hearing of it,i was almost knocked over.ain't it rediculous? i'm suffering from insomnia as a result of constant nagging from my mom telling me that in a marriage,love only contributes to 10% and that it's wiser for a girl to marry someone who's responsible,good-natured,honest and a heart that's willing to settle down.
